In addition to protecting the frame and the derailleur from damage, the derailleur hanger have another incredibly important duty of holding the rear derailleur in the right place so that the drivetrain, wheel and frame all are perfectly synchronized. This secure and stable connection is essential for crisp shifting and overall drivetrain performance. UDH is designed to optimize gear shifting exactly by standardizing the derailleur position on the rear triangle in relation to the cassette, which means better and more consistent shifting across all bikes and simplifies gear tuning.

The UDH provides unique derailleur protection against chain jamming. It features an inner lip, allowing the chain to re-rail onto the cassette, keeping your ride chain-suck free. Unlike most fixed hangers, it has the ability to pivot back and slips slightly in the even of an impact, allowing the derailleur to pivot away from danger.
The UDH is meant to consolidate the myriad for through-axle derailleur hanger that exist in the bike industry into a single standard to create a sensible solution for replacing damaged hangers. It works with all MTB and E-MTB transmissions currently on the market from Sram, Shimano to Box, Sunrace, MicroSHIFT, TRP and other modern derailleurs.
